Kirsten & Braedy

The Bell in Scona, Edmonton AB

Kirsten and Braedy tied the knot at The Bell in Scona in Edmonton, Alberta, and made their day extra special by doing their own flowers. They ordered our Coral & Cotton Bridal Party Package, which included White Carnations, Pink and White Snapdragons, Peach Stock, Pink Spray Mums, Queen Anne’s Lace, Green Eryngium, Mini Peach Carnations, and a mix of lush greenery like Eucalyptus, Bear Grass, and Leatherleaf Fern. Their DIY arrangements turned out soft, romantic, and full of charm, perfectly reflecting their style and making their wedding day truly personal.

Reason why we decided to DIY:

It’s several reasons, really! DIY allowed me to really pick a package that suited me (colors, vibe, etc.), and browse my options without a lot of pressure. It gave me and the women in my wedding/family to have a bonding moment before the wedding and of course, having it be easier on the budget was nice too. 🙂

Tips for other folks:

Don’t overthink it! I think when we first started putting vases and the bridal bouquet together, a lot of us were scared to start and were really focused on doing things “right”. When we sort of let loose and just started pulling things together, it ended up looking much more cohesive. Have fun with it!!! It’s a good chance to get creative. Plus, if you don’t love the way things look, nothing is really set in stone until you make it so.
