Sonia & Jan – Vancouver British Columbia Wedding

Inspiration behind the day

The wedding was in early June. Spring is my favourite time of the year in Vancouver and I wanted colourful flowers that reflected the season.

DIY projects for the day

We did all the flowers except my bridal bouquet. I also made the 3-tiered vegan carrot cake myself, which was a little terrifying but ended up turning out great 🙂
Everything turned out amazing for the wedding, the florals were definitely a highlight and got a lot of compliments. My helpers and I had so much fun designing and putting it all together too.
You may notice a few supplements from my mom’s garden in the arrangements as well (peonies, mock orange, greenery).

Their Review:

I DIY-ed my wedding flowers using You Floral and it turned out amazing. They were very responsive and easy to communicate with. There were some issues with a couple of the items I had ordered (wrong colour, some bruising), but they were super quick to respond and sent replacements the next day and in the end I had more product to work with than what I had ordered. Definitely recommend You Floral if you want to DIY your wedding florals, it’s a lot of work but very fun and rewarding.
