The Couple – Alicia and Dan
It was a smoking hot July day in Calgary when Alicia and Dan tied the knot (they literally did) at a beautiful lakeside ceremony at the Glenmore Sailing Club. The day had so many personalized components that really showcased who they are as couple, read along to learn more about their special day!
If you haven’t been to the Glenmore Sailing Club, it is certainly worth considering as a wedding venue. The beautiful deck has views of the Glenmore reservoir, and the adjacent hall has large, fully opening windows – allowing for open flow of people (super important during covid!)
Alicia and Dan incorporated in a beautiful celtic hand binding ceremony – there wasn’t a dry eye on the deck.
The decor was gold and navy blue, with Star Wars elements tastefully incoporated in a couple different aspects. The tables had big beautiful arrangements, DIY’ed using florals from us!
The gold throughout the decor really gave a glamorous vibe – pops of red gave a little extra oomph here and there.
I can’t help but share photos of flowers – they really outdid the DIY’ing here – and these burgundy scabiosa’s???? I’m swooning over here at my computer… (also… notice the Star Wars!)
I love how thoughtful Dan and Alicia were about their friends and family, and how aware they were that keeping everyone safe was top of mind. I also love brides who love eucalyptus….
