Kamloops BC Wedding

Dani and Tristan were married in June 2023 in a beautiful ceremony in their home in Kamloops (wow just look at their yard!… and such a cool idea to create a long garland style entry using babies breath and roses). For the reception after they moved to a local hall in Heffley Creek.

I touched base with Dani, I was curious about why they decided to DIY, and she said:

We decided to DIY the majority of our wedding decor as a way of saving money, but also to have more control. We had to provide all the decor for the hall and DIYing it was definitely the cheaper route. And as for the ceremony, I had a vision in mind and knew I wanted a lot of single stem flowers all over the place and it was easier and cheaper to afford it going the DIY route.

We did order some flowers through Costco as well, but probably 85-90% of them were from you guys.

I’m also always curious what past brides have to say re: advice, so I asked Dani, and she shared:

My advice for future DIYers is honestly to release some of the control  I thought I was the only one who knew what I wanted and what would look best, but my Dad, brother, husband and his groomsmen ended up doing all of the yard decor for our ceremony and they knocked it out of the park, couldn’t have been happier. Know what you want but also accept advice and/or criticism from others!
