Kira and George used the Eucalyptus and Lace Bridal Party package, with the coolest addition…. garlic scapes!!! They are garlic farmers, so they added that into their bouquets, which is the neatest personalization! They also wanted a touch of blue, so added in some navy blue reed things.
In terms of the DIY’ing, Kira’s friend as well as her sister in law did all the arrangements… they did such an amazing job with never having done flowers before!
The wedding ceremony was at George’s grandparents property and then the reception at their own farm (where they grow garlic!!!).
To keep the flowers cool (and keep the roses from opening up), they turned the office into a big cooler, which Kira said worked perfectly! The ac ran in the corner and then they covered the windows to make it darker. The girls were in jackets in there while everyone else outside the room was sweating! The little roses (spray roses) were kept in another room so they opened up and once they did put them in the office – Kira said it smelled amazing in there!
On a sad note… their golden retriever passed away just before the wedding unexpectedly. She was suppose to carry the rings down the isle so Kira had a charm made that was wrapped around my flowers to commemorate their beloved pet.
