Vale & Michael
Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church/Saanich Fairgrounds

Vale and Michael tied the knot in a peaceful countryside chapel on Vancouver Island on a beautiful crisp fall today. They incorporated both cultures in their wedding, which was held at a catholic church. Vale’s dress was stunning, and she chose to honor the Filipino veil tradition — a symbol of their unity and love. They DIY-styled their florals using lush greenery like eucalyptus, ruscus, salal, and garden roses. They started with our gorgeous greenery package, and then added on the garden roses as the feature flower, which really stood out amongst the lovely selection of greenery. Simple, romantic, and beautifully natural — the perfect start to forever.
Reason Why We Decided to DIY:
There’s more flexibility on what and where you want the flowers will be. It’s also nice to have the whole family help with decorating. It’s a nice bonding before the wedding.
Tips:
If you’re considering DIY’ng, make sure there’s enough time to put everything together and have family/friends help decorate so it’s easier the day before. It will also give you time to bond together.
Details/Notes:
I ordered the greenery package and a few ranunculus which was switched to some white roses as they weren’t in great shape when they arrived. I really appreciate the heads up on that we were able to just change it to a different one. Both me and my bridesmaid had a bouquet with the same greenery and flowers to match. The rest of the greenery were used as decoration at the reception. The bulk package was enough for our small celebration. We appreciate you and thankful for the amazing diy package we got.
