Brandi & David
River Valley, Lacombe County, Alberta
Brandi & David celebrated their wedding in the beautiful River Valley, Lacombe County, Alberta and made it extra special by DIY-ing their flowers with their wedding party. They chose a romantic mix of blush ranunculus, White O’Hara garden roses, burgundy carnations, baby’s breath, eucalyptus, leatherleaf fern, mini white carnations, and Queen Anne’s Lace. For Brandi, the decision was about both savings and sentiment: “A big factor was the price, but I also wanted to make them personal—being part of the creative process and sharing the experience with my wedding party made it so meaningful.” The result was elegant, heartfelt florals that perfectly reflected their love story.
Review:
They were so helpful and prompt in communication, and I got my dream flowers. It is a wonderful business and I was so happy to have the opportunity to do my own bouquets. Naturally, there will be variations and/or hiccups (stems break in travel, some flowers are smaller than appeared in photos), but that is to be expected with online services like these. It is evident they work hard to collaborate with customers to meet their needs.
What made you decide to DIY?
A big factor was the price (florists are so expensive nowadays), but I also wanted to make them personal. I mean this in two ways. I wanted to be involved in the creative process and to see my vision come to fruition, and I also wanted to have a fun and meaningful activity to do with my wedding party. I just love being a close part of all the elements of such a special day, and having those I love involved as well.
