Sydney & Matthew

CanGOLF – Canmore AB

Bride and groom kissing in a misty mountain landscape with evergreen trees.

Sydney and Matthew’s wedding at CanGOLF in Canmore, AB was a stunning celebration set against the natural beauty of the mountains. With a soft, romantic atmosphere and breathtaking scenery, their day felt both elegant and deeply personal.

Choosing a DIY approach to their florals, the couple curated a refined palette of peach, pink, white, and subtle yellow tones. Shimmer peach roses, ranunculus, and lisianthus created a soft, romantic base, while textural elements like scabiosa, craspedia, and blue eryngium added depth and interest. Accents of white veronica, waxflower, and lavender statice brought a light, airy finish, complemented by lush greenery including leatherleaf fern, salal, and weeping podocarpus.

The result was a beautifully cohesive floral design—natural, elegant, and thoughtfully crafted—perfectly reflecting Sydney and Matthew’s style and the serene setting of their wedding day.

What Made You Decide to DIY?

I had been apart of a wedding perilously that had used You Floral and it was such a fun activity with the bridesmaids and moms!

Watch the YouTube videos ahead of time— they make a huge difference and help everyone feel more confident on the day you’re actually putting them all together. When the time comes, try not to over think (easier said then done), stay present and enjoy the process!
