Meg & Bradley’s Oceanside Wedding – Sooke, British Columbia

Bradley + Meg

Few places capture the beauty of the West Coast quite like Sooke, British Columbia, and Meg & Bradley’s oceanside wedding at Sea Lion Estate was nothing short of breathtaking. With sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and lush greenery surrounding the property, their wedding day was the perfect blend of coastal charm and elegant, natural beauty.

But what truly made this celebration stand out? The florals — handcrafted with love by Meg’s talented mom, Laura.

A Wedding with Heart and Family CreativityBradley + Meg

Meg’s vision for her wedding flowers was simple: she wanted something different. Nothing too traditional, nothing too expected — just florals that reflected her personality and made a bold, unforgettable statement.

“Meg wanted her flowers to be unique and stand out… nothing run-of-the-mill,” Laura shared.

To bring that vision to life, they chose a stunning mix of proteas, waxflower, and several varieties of lush greenery. The result? A floral palette that felt both exotic and coastal — perfectly suited to their oceanside venue.

The altar arrangements were absolutely jaw-dropping. Huge, statement-making pieces framed the ceremony space, drawing everyone’s eyes to the ocean view beyond. In contrast, the bridesmaids’ bouquets were intentionally simple — featuring protea blooms surrounded by soft greenery for a beautifully balanced look.

It’s the perfect example of how contrasting scale and texture can create harmony within floral design. Big, dramatic focal pieces combined with understated personal florals gave the entire aesthetic a sense of effortless elegance.

The Venue: Sea Lion Estate, Sooke BC

Nestled along the rugged coastline of Vancouver Island, Sea Lion Estate provided the dreamiest backdrop for Meg and Bradley’s big day. The ocean stretched endlessly behind them, waves crashing softly against the rocks as they said “I do.”

This venue’s natural beauty paired perfectly with the organic, coastal-inspired floral theme. Every detail felt intentional and in tune with the surroundings — from the earthy olive and eucalyptus greenery to the warm, textural tones of leucadendron and protea.

The entire scene captured that West Coast feel — wild, romantic, and effortlessly beautiful.

Their Review

“The most stunning flowers! My mom did the ceremony arrangements, my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets with flowers from You Floral and they turned out incredibly.”

Short, heartfelt, and so genuine — Meg’s review says it all. Her mom’s love and creativity truly made this wedding floral story one to remember.

Final Thoughts

Meg & Bradley’s wedding at Sea Lion Estate is proof that when you combine love, creativity, and nature’s beauty, you get something truly unforgettable.

From the massive altar arrangements that framed the ocean backdrop to the intimate bridesmaid bouquets, every effort told a story of family, artistry, and authenticity.

It’s weddings like these that remind us: “Floral design doesn’t have to be complicated to be breathtaking, it just has to come from the heart.”
